In 2016 Carson Kropfl had a problem to solve. He wanted to use his skateboard to skate to school but couldn't fit it inside his backpack or locker. And so he created Locker Boards, that could easily fit inside a backpack and a locker at school while still allowing for room for textbooks and other items.
By 2017, Kropfl had taken his idea to Shark Tank . Like many genius inventions this practical solution was an instant hit, with Sir Richard Branson becoming the key investor to help Kropfl and Locker Board expand.
In 2020, Wham-O had inked a licensing deal (Wham-O Wheelz collection) to help mass produce and distribute the boards to the world. With adjustments and consultation with Kropfl, Wham-O is proud to produce a sustainable skateboard made of maple wood, while still keeping with the vision that Kropfl had in mind. The Wham-O Wheelz Locker Board collection consists of three types of skateboards, for every level of experience. All are made from 100% sustainable maple wood.
