NBC creates TV show based on Wham-O Slip 'N Slide

NBC has announced the creation of Ultimate Slip 'N Slide, based on the iconic and wildly popular Wham-O Slip 'N Slide, to premiere on August 8, immediately after the closing ceremony of the Tokyo Olympic Games.

Hosted by Bobby Moynihan and Ron Funches, contestants must compete in a giant water park made of various challenges such as Human Pong, Body Bowling, Cornhole, Bocce Fall and other classic pastime games. The Wham-O Slip 'N Slide is reserved for the final challenge, a 65-foot tall slide designed to separate and find the ultimate slider.

The Wham-O Slip 'N Slide is one the most recognized and successful product of the Wham-O range of iconic toys. Kids from every generation will recognize the distinctive yellow color slide. Invented in 1961, an estimated 9 million Wham-O Slip 'N Slide were sold within a 30 year period.

Today, the product has spawned variations that include a Boogie board, dual slides, and is even in included in the Foam Party range to increase the fun.

Can't get to an open area or near a water outlet? Wham-O has already created a mobile app so you can enjoy and practice for the real thing.
